Delete Your HomePerty Account & Data

Effective date: 24 September 2026

This page explains how to delete your HomePerty data: all of it and your account with it, or only the parts you choose. HomePerty is published by KingNerd (Gabriel), an independent developer based in Bucharest, Romania. Contact: hello@homeperty.com.

This page is part of the HomePerty Privacy Policy, which it supplements with step-by-step instructions.

HomePerty documents: Privacy Policy · Terms of Service · EULA · Delete Account & Data

First, do you have an account at all?

An account only exists in HomePerty if you have signed in, with Google or with Apple, to use Cloud Backup, Cloud Sync or a shared workspace. If you have never signed in there is no account and no cloud data to delete. Everything you have entered is on your device only, we have never received or seen it, and you can remove it with option 3 below or by uninstalling the app.

Which option you want

  • Close your account and delete everything in the cloud: Option 1 in the app, or Option 2 by email

  • Delete one property, tenant, document or transaction: Option 3

  • Clear this phone completely but keep your account: Option 4

  • Delete your cloud data but keep your account: Option 5

  • Stop the newsletter, delete nothing: Option 6

Option 1: delete your account in the app, which takes effect immediately

  1. Open HomePerty on your device.

  2. Go to Settings, then Account & License.

  3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account. You can also reach the same screen from Settings, Cloud backup.

  4. Read the two columns. The left one lists everything that is erased from the cloud; the right one lists what stays on your phone.

  5. Type DELETE in the box, to confirm you mean it, then tap Delete my account.

  6. Wait on the progress screen while each item is erased. A result screen confirms what was deleted and when.

This immediately and permanently deletes everything your account holds in the cloud:

  • every backup version and its metadata;

  • every record, photo and document synchronised by Cloud Sync;

  • your account settings and the record of your Pro licence;

  • your workspace, including the list of people you invited, any invitations waiting for you, and your place in anyone else's workspace;

  • your newsletter contact at our email provider; and

  • last, your Firebase Authentication account, meaning your name, email address, profile photo and account identifier, as held for HomePerty.

Nothing belonging to anyone else is deleted: if you had joined someone else's workspace, their records stay with them. There is no waiting period and the action cannot be undone. If you sign in again afterwards it creates a brand-new account with no connection to the deleted data.

This does not touch the data stored on your device. Properties, tenants, leases, finances, documents and photos on your phone stay until you clear them separately, which is option 4.

Option 2: request account deletion by email, if you cannot use the app

If you have uninstalled HomePerty, lost access to your device, or otherwise cannot reach Settings, you can ask us directly:

  1. Email hello@homeperty.com with the subject "Delete my HomePerty account".

  2. Send it from, or name, the same email address that belongs to the account you signed in with, so we can check it is you. If you signed in with Apple and used Hide My Email, send it from that private relay address, or tell us what it is, since that is the address we hold.

  3. Say clearly that you want your HomePerty account and all associated cloud data deleted.

Once we have verified that you control the account, we perform the same deletion described in option 1 from our side. Everything listed there, including the Firebase Authentication account, is permanently removed.

Option 3: delete individual records in the app

Any entry, meaning a property, tenant, lease, transaction, maintenance ticket, document, photo, calendar entry or note, can be deleted in the app by opening the record and using its Delete action.

If Cloud Sync is on, the deletion reaches your other devices and the people in your workspace as well. With Pro Cloud Backup, deletions are included in your next backup automatically. Older backup versions, of which up to five are kept, may still hold the earlier data until they age out naturally.

Option 4: wipe everything on this device and keep your account

  1. Open HomePerty on your device.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Tap Data & Storage.

  4. Tap Reset app.

  5. Confirm when prompted.

This permanently erases everything stored on the device: properties, tenants, leases, finances, documents, photos, calendar entries, notes and app settings, returning the app to a fresh state. Your account and everything it holds on our servers, meaning your backups and, if you use Cloud Sync, your synchronised records, are not affected, and are still there when you sign in again. Uninstalling the app does the same thing to the device copy, and also leaves the cloud copies alone.

Option 5: delete your cloud data and keep your account

To remove your data from our servers while keeping your sign-in identity:

  1. Email hello@homeperty.com with the subject "Delete my HomePerty cloud data".

  2. Send it from, or name, the same email address that belongs to the account you signed in with, so we can check it is you.

  3. Say clearly that you want your cloud data deleted but the account kept active.

Once verified, we delete every backup archive and its metadata, and everything Cloud Sync holds for you, from Firebase, while leaving your Firebase Authentication account, meaning your sign-in identity, untouched. Switch Cloud Sync off first, or your devices will simply send your data up again.

Option 6: stop the newsletter without deleting anything

Open Settings, Account & License, and turn off the newsletter under Email preferences. The unsubscribe link at the foot of any newsletter does the same thing. Either route works, and the app will not quietly re-subscribe you. Account emails, such as the welcome message, are separate and are sent whatever you choose here.

What each option deletes, and what it leaves

  • 1 or 2, delete the account

    • What is deleted: Every cloud backup and its metadata, everything Cloud Sync holds, your account settings, your Pro record, your workspace and invitations, and the sign-in account itself: name, email, profile photo, account identifier. Your newsletter contact goes with it

    • What is kept: Everything on your device, until you clear it separately, and backup files you saved yourself

  • 3, one record

    • What is deleted: That record on your device, on your other devices and in your workspace if Cloud Sync is on, and in the next cloud backup if you have Pro

    • What is kept: Everything else. Older backup versions may briefly still hold the old copy

  • 4, Reset app

    • What is deleted: All on-device data and app settings

    • What is kept: Your account and everything it holds on our servers

  • 5, cloud data only

    • What is deleted: All cloud backups and their metadata, and everything Cloud Sync holds

    • What is kept: Your account, meaning your sign-in identity, stays active, and everything on your device

  • 6, newsletter

    • What is deleted: Nothing. You simply stop receiving it

    • What is kept: Everything, including account emails

Three things no option deletes

Backup files you saved yourself. A `.hpbk` file you saved or shared is a copy outside HomePerty. It is not encrypted, so delete it wherever you keep it, such as your phone's files, a computer or a cloud drive.

Your licence key redemption record. This is not personal account data: it is a key string and a timestamp, not linked to your name or email. We keep it for fraud prevention and audit for as long as is reasonably necessary.

Records we are required by law to keep, or that relate to an active abuse or fraud investigation. These are kept only as long as is legally necessary and are then deleted.

What deleting your account does not cancel

Deleting your HomePerty account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are held by the store that sold them, not by us, so cancel separately:

  • iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, HomePerty, Cancel.

  • Android: Google Play Store, Menu, Subscriptions, HomePerty, Cancel.

How long each option takes

  • Anything you do in the app, meaning options 1, 3, 4 and 6: immediate and permanent.

  • Email requests, meaning options 2 and 5: completed within 30 days of us verifying that you control the account, in line with the response time described in our Privacy Policy for data-subject rights requests.
